8 Premium Wines presented by Hamish Thomson, 5th Generation Vigneron, Best's Wines, Great Western, Victoria.

Venue: The Plough Stables, 17 Main Street, Myrniong

What wines are included?

Wines include:
– Great Western Riesling
– Foudre Ferment Riesling
– Pinot Noir
– Pinot Meunier
– Great Western Cabernet Sauvignon
– Hamill Cabernet Sauvignon
– LSV Shiraz
– Hamill Shiraz

How much wine will I receive?

There will be 8 different varieties that will be individually presented with the option to ask questions with Hamish Thomson. Each serve will be 50mL, totalling 400mL per person. You will have your own spittoon to use as required.

How much for a seat?

Members of The Plough: $45pp
Non-Members: $65pp (if you are not a member of The Plough, join up NOW before you book your seats. It is free. Visit our website.)

Will there be food served during the Masterclass?

This event focusses on the wines being presented however there will be house-made, local stone-milled bread and marinated olives for you to nibble on during the Masterclass.

We suggest you book a table at the restaurant after the Masterclass. Being a Saturday night, we are usually fully booked so secure your table early.

Please call us to discuss how we can accommodate your requirements.

We have various areas to accommodate small groups through to seating for up to 100+ guests, with lots of free car parking.

All areas have cosy fireplaces and comfy furnishings through to large dining areas and pet-friendly beer garden.


On-Site Studio Rooms

Indulge in the ultimate experience at Myrniong with overnight accommodation in one of our studio rooms at The Plough.

Fully-cooked breakfast the following morning is prepared by our Chef, leaving you with a memory of The Plough which will draw you back, time and time again!

What a dining experience. Beautiful setting. The staff and food were amazing. They also catered for the vegetarian in our group. She was very impressed. The only down side is I didn’t have dessert. A big shout out to our waiter Nick. He was very attentive and gave great service. Will definitely go back.

"I just wanted to write to express my deepest gratitude to you both, and to your staff, for so beautifully hosting my mum and family for Mum’s 90th birthday. You were so accommodating, warm and patient. The food was divine and absolutely perfect for the occasion. The room was superb, so pretty, so cosy, and just like home, but with fantastic food and our own waiters! Your accommodation of the gorgeous Seija who sang for Mum, was incredibly kind and accepting. 

Mum was so delighted with it all, as was the rest of the family. We all left The Plough on a beautiful, satisfying high. It is rare, I think, to be able to celebrate 90 years of life with someone who remains so engaged, passionate and active, and who is so determined to get on with the business of living fully, every day. It could not have been a more perfect day, and we all have you to thank for that. What a treat.
